Training at the La Regina manufacturing facility in Alma, Georgia, supported expansion of operations
La Regina Atlantica hosted a training plan signing on January 13, 2026 at 10 a.m. to commemorate its partnership with Georgia Quick Start and Coastal Pines Technical College. Over the past six years, the family-owned company has grown its Georgia facility to 103 employees, with plans to hire up to 50 more in the coming years.Georgia Quick Start, the state’s top-ranked workforce training program, will be providing customized training for the manufacturer of Rao’s homestyle pasta sauce. It announced its Georgia facility in 2020 in Alma.
“We’re honored to support a company that has chosen Georgia for their first-ever US production facility,” said Scott McMurray, Deputy Commissioner at Georgia Quick Start. “This partnership extends all the way from Italy to South Georgia to the shelves of your local supermarket.”
In addition to safety training, Quick Start will provide job-specific training on how to operate specialized machines, which combine fresh ingredients to create its sauces. “We’re looking forward to beginning training with Quick Start,” said Emidio Rinaldi, COO, “Their training support for this new expansion will ensure that we are able to grow while keeping up with safety standards, as well as the standards our family brand upholds with its recipes.”
The training program involves three distinct partners: Georgia Quick Start, La Regina Atlantica and Coastal Pines Technical College. Quick Start will deliver training during the expansion, and Coastal Pines Technical College will be a long-term partner, available for ongoing training and providing a pipeline of qualified graduates to meet future workforce needs. “We’re always eager to partner with companies that are committed to growing Georgia’s workforce,” said Coastal Pines Technical College President Lonnie Roberts. “The manufacturers of Rao’s recognize that in the food industry, quality begins with skilled people, and this collaboration reflects that shared commitment.”
The Bacon County Development Authority and the Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD) worked with Coastal Pines Technical College and Georgia Quick Start to qualify La Regina Atlantica for training support.
Quick Start training is scheduled to begin in early 2026.
