Georgia Quick Start hosted a training plan signing on May 27, 2026 at 9 a.m. to commemorate its partnership with Socomec and Gwinnett Technical College.

Georgia Quick Start Northern Operations Director Bruce Batton met with leaders of Socomec at Gwinnett Technical College to commemorate the signing of the training plan for nearly 300 new hires.

A French company known for its work in industrial power management, Socomec announced its plan to build a $10 million-dollar advanced manufacturing facility in Suwanee late last year. Following the signing, Quick Start will begin the delivery of training materials customized to meet Socomec’s needs.

“With this training plan signing, we get together with the company and celebrate small steps in the project.” said Bruce Batton. “The overall goal is for them to be successful and hire qualified people who understand the processes can come into the workplace without delay. That is what Quick Start really focuses on, and with Socomec, we were able to develop simulator trainers, which was a big achievement.”

Director of Operations for Power Conversion North America Socomec Paolo Previtali said the partnership between Socomec and Quick Start was a key component in the development of training for the new facility.

“The successful sign-off of our training program marks an important milestone in our people and operations strategy,” Previtali said. “In partnership with Quick Start and Gwinnett Technical College, we have developed and started to deliver a high-impact training initiative that strengthens our workforce capabilities and supports our long-term ambitions. This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to excellence, continuous learning, and performance.”

Gwinnett Tech will be Socomec’s long-term partner, available for ongoing training and providing a pipeline of qualified graduates to meet future workforce needs.

Early training is already underway at Gwinnett Tech including courses on electrical safety awareness, diagnostic training, and courses on assembler procedures.
